Staalcampus® is the talent and innovation center of the Brink Steel Group, where we educate vocational, secondary vocational, and higher vocational students in technology, engineering, and assembly, as well as in supporting disciplines such as marketing, communication, and business economics. Young people with a part-time job and career changers are also very welcome.

Buddy system

We work with an effective buddy system, allowing new talents to quickly find their way, dare to ask questions, and grow in their development in a targeted way. Especially through BBL programs (levels 1 to 4), students combine work and learning: they earn a salary immediately and attend one or two days of education per week at one of the educational institutions we collaborate with.

Own projects

Within Staalcampus®, we also run smaller projects completely independently with young talents. This accelerates their learning curve and delivers immediate value to the group. At the same time, Staalcampus® is a breeding ground for innovations, where new ideas, concepts, and product developments emerge and are tested.

Social entrepreneurship

With the Staalcampus®, we give concrete substance to the concept of social entrepreneurship. In real steel projects, we offer job seekers, students, career changers, as well as people with a distance to the labor market, the opportunity to gain practical experience under the guidance of professionals. With our policy, we are at PSO level 2 and offer plenty of benefits in SROI-related tenders. This way, we are not only building steel structures, but also people and the future of the sector.

Brinkie's Bridge Battle

Brinkie's Bruggenbattle is a technical competition for 8th-grade students.

Brinkie's Bruggenbattle is an initiative of Staalcampus®, the training and innovation platform of Brink Steel Group. With this technology competition, we introduce group 8 students in the Barneveld and Nijverdal region to technology, teamwork, and creative thinking in a playful way.

In teams, students design and build a bridge from popsicle sticks. They present their design and test the load-bearing capacity of their bridge at Brink Staalbouw. The Bruggenbattle proves to be a great success time and time again: students are enthusiastic, teachers are positive, and the interest from schools grows every year.

In addition to an educational experience, there are also great prizes to be won for the whole class, including educational outings and materials that further stimulate technical education.
With Brinkie's Bruggenbattle, Brink Steel Group actively invests in promoting technology, developing talent, and regional involvement — exactly where our future begins.
