In Deventer, Brink Staalbouw worked together with Circulairstaal and Metron Vastgoed to deliver the steel structure for Davo, the first fully circular distribution center in the Netherlands. The structure was designed with circularity at its core, using demountable connectors that enable reuse in future building cycles.
The steel structure features a transparent Biocoat ECO10 finish. With this product, Davo achieved a world-first: it is the most CO2-efficient powder coating currently available in the steel industry. The coating offers a sustainable appearance and significantly reduces the environmental impact during production and long-term maintenance.
The distribution center demonstrates how circular building principles can be applied on a large scale within the logistics sector. Through smart design, reusable connections, and a future-proof coating system, the project sets a new standard for circular construction.
With this project, we contributed to a groundbreaking example of sustainable and circular industrial development in the Netherlands.
